Summary of August 2020

8/15/2020

On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb in Hiroshima. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the United States decided to lock up innocent Japanese Americans in internment camps. One of these internment camps was the famous Santa Anita Racetrack, located in Arcadia. It is ACYC's belief that it is important for others to be aware of the discrimination and trauma suffered by Japanese Americans at Santa Anita Racetrack. Our members created a CARRD, in order to help spread awareness and educate those in Arcadia. View the CARRD here.
